Today I fished with Scott, Hank, Chris, and Chief out of Ohio.  We had the wonderful wind to fight all day as we tried our best find some Trout and Flounder.  They just didn't want to cooperate for us though.  We managed one nice keeper Flounder for the morning.  Hank seemed to have the knack to catch fish though, he had over 20 nice Croakers for the day.  We were able to salvage the day as for the last 20 minutes or so the fish decided to biter to finish with a bang.  Thanks guys I had a great time and I'll see you next year.

6-25-10

I had the second half of the WV crew today along with a few from Mo. Between Coby, Landon, Brendon,Micheal, Josh, and Ritchie we  had a ball, three boys from 8-13 and they could fish.  They keep me busy all day as well as laughing.  We had a good day on the water, nice weather and the fish were hungry.  We had a slew of Sea Mullet and Croaker along with about 10 Flounder with one nice keeper for the day.  As you can see in the pic Coby felt that the little Croaker needed a new home so he put up in his nest. (Sweet Hair Coby).  I had a blast and hope to see you guys again next year.  I was glad to see the youngins were able to take Ted home some dinner as well.  Thanks guys.

6-24-10

Today I had Chris,Jim, Jamie, and Micheal aboard the boat.  Again today the wind was kicking and limiting place to fish.  We made the best of and hit many spots but the fishing was just slow.  I think we 5 or so Speckled Trout with one keeper and a nice 18" Flounder for the day.  Not the kinda day anybody wants but it happens.  We still had a good time and enjoyed the 90 plus temps.  Thanks guys

6-23-10

Had Ted and his crew Mike, Micheal, Jesse, George, and Ritchie from around the country again today.  These guys like travel that is for sure.  We had good day on the water, it started slow but it picked up once the tide started moving a little bit.  Good crew to fish with, lots of ribbing and busting on each other going on.  We ended the day with a nice Keeper Flounder, 10 or so Speckled Trout(4 Keepers) and Big Croaker.  Had a blast guys and I"ll see ya next year and I'll see Mr. Micheal and little ones on Friday.

6-22-10

I had Chris, Jen, Derek, and Theresa out this afternoon.  We were running two boats today due to the amount of people.  It worked out great as we had the largest fish and the most, I think.  It was a great afternoon with a great bunch to be fishing with.  We caught a lot of fish but there again just no size to them.  Had fun guys and girls.

6-22-10

Had Ted and his crew out today for a little fishing action.  We caught a lot of today just nothing with any great size to it.  The weather was great and the fish were biting what more could you ask for.   Had a great time guys, thanks.

6-17-10 INSHORE SLAM

I had Brian, Austin , and Eric on the boat this morning for some jig action.  We started out with 3 short Specks and a nice keeper Flounder.  That was a good start for the morning until it died so we moved on working our way around until we found them.  We had a great day on the water catching 10 Specks,12 Flounders and a nice Drum to finish things off.  The fish had moved away from their usual hangouts so we did a little hunting around till we found them.  All of the fish were caught on Jigs which was nice to see.  The fishing is getting better by the day for us and the nicer sized ones are starting to show up again as well.  Thanks for the Inshore Slam today today guys.

6-16-10

I had an evening trip today with the Spaulding family which consisted of Cody, Chase, Cameron, Arthur, and Tracy.  We had an exciting evening to say the least.  The fishing was great as we caught just about everything out there including a monster ray.  I didn't think we would be able to get him in as he spooling us pretty fast, I finally go the anchor up and was able to catch up to so the family could take turns fighting him.  That was really cool seeing the little guys reactions once we got him to the boat.   They are not something I target but they do put up a good fight for the angler who happens to get one.  We had a 2 year old with us this evening, what a great little man he was and he knew how to fish as well.  We had great trip until the Big one hit.  We made it back to the docks but mother nature had different ideas for us as she let loose on us, the boat got a good wash out of the deal.  Thanks guys for nice evening.

6-16-10

This afternoon I had a trip with Connie, Chris, and Brandon.  I thought it was pretty cool a mom taking the family fishing for the day.  We had great time on the water today catching alot of fish as well.  We never found the bigger ones today but we def. had the numbers.  Thanks guys and girls and see you next year.

I had a mix up on my charter today so I decided to just go fishing. I stopped and picked up one buddy on the way while fishing another called me from a bridge so we picked him up as well. The morning started off slow with some Big Bluefish here and there so we moved on from that looking for bigger and better. We started fishing for Flounder throwing jigs and it paid of big for us. We had well over 20 Flounder(all on jigs) with about 8-10 keepers out of the bunch. Mixed in with them were a few Speckled Trout mostly on the short side and some really nice Croaker that hits the jigs as well. Ended up being a great morning on the water and was nice to fish with some old buddies. I was just glad we had some water with us, man it was hot out there today.

6-11-10

Today I had Amber, Travis, Kim, and Jim aboard for the afternoon. I have to say Amber is probably the most hardcore fisher Women I have met. There's not much she hasn't fished for and caught. We started the day casting for some Striper but that didn't work out for us so we moved on and just started fishing. We caught some Croakers and Spot for the day as we just couldn't get anything else to bite for us. We tried the Specks for awhile but they were still asleep I think because they sure weren't hungry. Some how they slipped off the boat without me getting some pics bu that's OK we will def. get some next time around. Had a blast guys and look forward to seeing you next time around.

I had one my good friends brother along with his family and friends this morning. It wasn't the morning any Capt. wants to see as the fog was so thick you couldn't see but a few feet ahead of the boat. We idled along until we reached the closest fishing grounds we could find. Had Brian, Johnathon,Steve,Trevor, and Brian's daughter. As you can tell I can't recall her wonderful name. (Sorry about that) We had great morning of fishing, same as the other day, catch 5-10 fish and bam they would shut down. So we would just move and start catching them again just repeating the process. We had good catch of Croaker, Spot, and some nice Speckled Trout in the mix as well. It's nice to see the trips have started to catch the trout just about everyday, not many or the biggest but it's nice to see them showing up. I had a great time on the water with you guys and will see ya in Oct.

6-10-10 evening

I got a call earlier in the day from some gentleman who were here to go offshore but the trip was canceled and they wanted to fish so we headed out for and evening trip. I had Dave,Jim,Micheal, and Thorston aboard for the evening. We headed out looking for some Flounder at the inlet but between the tide ripping in and a ton of grass we switched up. We stopped a few times and caught fish but we wanted bigger so we kept moving. We ended catching some very nice Croakers and also had a nice keeper Flounder in the mix. As you can see in the pics the evening trips can be rewarding with the fishing along with the relaxation of having nice weather and beautiful sunsets. Had an awesome trip with you guys, see you next time around.

6-10-10 afternoon

I had the Gura family with me this afternoon. After the wind laid out it was a beautiful day. They were able to Dolphin swimming alongside the boat along with the sides and front as well. The Pelicans were diving and fish were jumping. We had great time out there today. Even the little one got into it as she just wanted to come along for the boat ride. Within the first 5 minutes she hooked up and hooked on fishing. We had some nice Croakers and even got some Spec ks up into the boat for the day. Taking kids fishing has to be one of the best adventures they could experience while on the Outer Banks. We had great time out there today and now the Boy Scouts up north need to watch out during camp. LOL

6-10-10

Headed out this morning on a Very windy waters but that didn't stop us from catching some nice fish. I had Brook,Jason,Trevor,Mark, and Mike with me for the ride. We bottom fished in any protected areas we could find that would be holding fish. The fishing would be hot and cold, pull to a spot and catch5-10 and shut down. So we just opted to hit as many spots as possible and it paid off for us. I think Brook probably took top honors for the day but it was close. Thanks guys and girls, had a blast.

6-9-10

I had Heather and Tony on the boat today. We were supposed to go out Amberjack fishing but decided to do something different after the wind kicked up. We decided to stay inside the inlet for the day and do some light tackle fishing. We caught a little bit everything throughout the day. Hopefully I can talk Tony into taking me out next time I'm in Kentucky to do do a little bass fishing. We had great day on the water and having Heather on the boat made it all the better, she knows how to keep you laughing. Se you guys next time.

6-8-10

I had an all day trip with today with Brendon,Steve,Nick,Doug,Savannah, and Marisa. The weather to the south was beautiful but we had to head north toward the storms. The fishing was a little slower today but we kept digging and picked them off through out the day. We ended up with a nice catch fish for the day including Big Croaker and some Speckled Trout to throw in the mix. I think overall we had a great day on the water and the weather shaped up very nicely for the day. I would have to say Savannah knew how to hook the big ones for the day.

6-2-10

Had an afternoon trip today with Kyle,Matt,Megan,Natalie,John, and Eamon. We had a great day for fishing and the fish were hungry. Even the man who said he couldn't catch a fish if had to did it. We had a great trip and hope you guys enjoyed the fish.

6-2-10

Today was a guys morning out along with my father in-law and nephew Mr. Drew (A.K.A. Fish Catcherman). We no sooner go to the spot and Drew was on fire reeling them in one after another. He kept asking us why he had to reel them all in and let us know he was ready to go home and that Sue Sue and his mom wouldn't be happy that we didn't keep any for them. LOL He was a trooper and did a great job with the rod. Every year he just keeps getting better and better.

5-20-10

Had Mr. Terrell today, don't think that is the right name. I apologize I lost my planner with the info in it. I do know we had a great day on the water catching some very nice 15"-16" Croakers. The weather wasn't the best but we had a great day on the water and it beats working any day.

5-17-10

Had Scott Murtha with family and friends today. The weather wasn't the best but the fish fishing was great. The trip was for the kids today and they were relentless on the fish. We had a great trip with a lot of big Croaker for the day. Thanks guys look forward to fishing with you again.

6-7-10

I fished today with Bob, Mark, and Dennis from Winchester, Va. we started out looking for some Specks but that didn't pan out to well for us so we moved on. We ended the day with some very nice Croaker, Sea Mullet , a short Flounder and a short Speck. We had good weather and a good time out there today.

6-7-10

Sorry for the lack of reports lately. The computer I use to download my pics crashed and is in the shop at the moment.
The fishing has been great for bottom fishing, Croaker, Black Drum, and other bottom feeders. The Flounder bite was great until the wind starting blowing everyday but that should change this week. I was able to go out and catch some nice Speckled Trout the other day so that was a bright side to the weeks coming. I have heard of some nice Puppy Drum being caught as well. We have two types of fishing trips going on right now, one for the family and kids and one for the fisherman who wants cast jigs. It's only getting better by the day. I look forward to fishing with all of you.

Capt. Marc
