I had a afternoon trip today with fellow N. Carolinians Greg and Carol who were here to celebrate one of their many anniversarys. We couldn't ask for a nicer day this time of year, mid 60's, light wind and not a cloud in sight. As Carol was happy with the 2 Big Blue crabs she

caught, that wasn't cutting it for me. We moved on till we found something interested in biting for us. She had her hands full right off the bat as she battled a nice 9lb. Black Drum. I think we could have headed in after that and she would have been satisfied. LOL We ended up with 2 Black Drum, 8 or 9 Sheepshead, and 5 Flounder with one nice Fat 18"er. All in all, it ended up being a great day on the water. I really enjoyed fishing with you guys and look forward to fishing with you again in the future.

Went out today looking around to see what there was to catch and ended up with 7 Stripers up to 22". Nothing to brag about, had to fish hard to catch them as we threw at a few hundred pilings in order to get them. It beat sitting at home.

Today Troy and I took a trip up to Va. to do little trout fishing. The fishing was kinda slow but we did manage 5 of them up to 4lbs. and a nice Puppy Drum to go with them. From what we could see the fishing was kinda slow and most boat had 1-2 fish. So when the day was done we were happy to have what we had. I have noticed when you are fishing next to other boats and they see you throw back 3 and 4lb. fish they give you pretty looks. LOL Oh well I want to catch them again.

10-23-09

Went out this morning for a few hours to goof around and was able to come up with a handful of nice Puppy Drum all in the 22"-24" range. There was plenty of them there as another charter was catching them left and right as well. Other than that not much was going on, I did find a few schools of them just sitting around as I went through the flats on the trolling motor. I didn't fish for them as I was just looking around.

Sorry for the lack of reports lately, fishing has been kinda slow and the weather has not been to kind to us either. I went out today with Troy and we caught a few Stripers, 3 Puppy Drum and a Trout. I think we actually caught more than we expected so not bad. The wind was howling, so the fishing holes were limited for the day.

I was out today with Donny Davis and his sister Beth for a great day on the water. The weather was really nice today having a just enough overcast to keep the sun hidden away. We started out looking for some Drum but that didn't happen so we moved on to the Trout which wasn't much better. We caught a few but not what we were looking for as they were on the small size. They let me know that they could use some nice Spot for dinner so we moved on to them. We caught some Spot along with some really nice Sea Mullet to finish the day off. I enjoyed the day and look forward to seeing ya next year.

I headed out this morning with Chris,Eric,Jason, and Jeff today on an all day adventure and that it was. We started the morning off hitting the same stuff I hit the day before but there was one problem, no wind and no current. The fishing really stunk, we had a Bluefish and and two small Specks to start the day with. We had to make a move so we went and found some current with no avail. We eventually found some nice Sea Mullet, Spot and Spadefish just to amuse ourselves. Finally the wind started to blow and get things going for us. We were finally able to start landing some really nice Specks for a good while. The fish again were were a nice class with a little more size to them today. The fishing started off really slow for us but ended with them still biting as we left. Had a great time on the water today and look forward to seeing you guys again next year.

I was out today with David,Teamo, and John on a slick calm Sept. day. The weather was perfect for a change, we were able to run anywhere we wanted with out having to battle the wind. It was nice putting the boat on auto-pilot and sitting back for a change. We headed north to start the day off and spent a few hours up there catching Striper, Drum, and Specks. The Drum were on the short side, but they were still fun to catch. Once the bite died up there we ran back down south to catch the beginning of the out going tide which set the trout on fire. The guys only wanted to keep a few , so the rest of them are still out there swimming around. The Specks were a pretty nice class of fish with a majority of them being 18". We also had a handful of Grey Trout to throw in the mix for the day as well.

8-27-09

I headed out today with Frank, Lisa, and Les on a sight seeing tour, just joking. We went looking for some Drum and Trout today. Frank caught a throwback Puppy Drum first thing in the morning as this was something we tried to do last year but didn't happen. It would been nice if it was just a little bigger than what it was but it was still a Drum. We left that area and made the long run back towards the inlet in search of some Trout and maybe a Flounder. We never found the Flounder we looked for, he left town. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of Flounder around right now but we were looking for one with some size to it. The Trout were biting today but just not that many of them. The ones we managed to fool had some nice size to them though. I had a great time on the water today as it was my pleasure to fish with Mr. Frank again. I'll see you guys and girls next year.

8-26-09

Today was a great day to be on the water as the wind was light and the heat was hot. The fishing was a little slow to start off with but it picked up as the day went along. Today I was out with John, Larry, Rennie, Bill, Doug, and Brian on an all day excursion. We started off looking for Specks but they were hiding pretty good as we were only able to pick one off here and there after a lot miles on our butts. We ended up having a nice handful of some nice sized ones by the days end though. We were able to catch another nice sized Flounder today as well. Along with those we had some nice sized Croaker and Grey Trout. The Capt. screwed up today as he lost a nice 2 1/2 to 3lber at the boat, sorry guys. We had great day on the water today and look forward to seeing you guys next year.

8-21-09 In-Shore Slam

I fished today with Ed and his father Bill. We knew from the start it was going to be a hard day of fishing with the wind howling from the SE for the last few days. We headed to the inlet to start the day off and were able to catch some Big Croaker while Trout fishing and dodging the rain. We eventually found some nice Specks but that ended as fast as it started. We then moved on to the next hole and nothing. I then started hitting different spots that I haven't fished in awhile and it paid off big time. We caught 2 nice Speckled trout at one hole and moved on to the next only to catch a nice Puppy Drum along with 2 Fat Flounder. And then we made one last stop before heading in and were able to catch one more nice Flounder. The day started of slow but ended with a bang, we ended up with 3 Speck, 3 Flounder, and a 20" Puppy Drum.

8-20-09

This morning I headed out with Justin, Ashley, Cody, Steve, and Paul. We started out the morning looking for some Specks but they didn't want to play for us. We caught one on the first cast and that was it. We then headed out in search of something else. With the wind blowing we were limited in our options so we started bottom fishing and Flounder fishing. We chad no luck on the Flounder but we found some really nice Sea Mullet and Croaker to fill the day out. I couldn't help but to have fun as Justin let everybody know when he caught a fish. I will have to say Ashley put the whoopin' on the guys with a good 24 fish advantage. I had a great time with you guys.

8-15-09

I went out this morning with Brandon and James trying to catch a few Amberjack. The day didn't go as we planned but we still had a good time out there. We hit a few wrecks here and there and just couldn't find a taker. We had one Barracuda hit and that was it. We will get them next time out though.

8-14-09

This afternoon I was out with Collen, Sharon, Meghan, Matt, and Edwin. We started out looking for some Specks but that got kinda boring quick as they were not in the mood to bite. We got a few to the boat but never in the boat. We then moved on and started catching quite a few Flounder and some really nice sized Croakers. The Croaker were on fire, they were eating anything that hit the water. I want to thank the guys for bringing the Jams aboard the boat, gotta say that was a first, just glad nobody was within hearing distance of us. I just remembered it was Collin, Jack, Matt, Edwin, and James. The girls were the ones that continuously text them. Had a great time guys, your lucky I didn't hear the phone ring at 1:45 am as well. See ya next year.

I was able to go out today with an old friend and do a little fishing and catching up at the same time. Along with RJ was Mr. James to help out with the catching duties. We started out by catching some nice Speckled Trout and then moved on to catch some Flounder. After weeding through 20 or so we were able to come out with a keeper for the table. Had a great time this morning and look forward to seeing you again next year.

8-12-09

Went out this morning with Jim, Brett, and Bradley to do a little fishing and net a few crabs. The fishing was slow this morning for us as we hit 3 different spots without a bite until we finally found the spot. We were able to catch quit a few Spot, Croaker and pigfish for the day. Wish the fishing was a little better but we still had a great time.

8-11-09

I headed out this afternoon with Darrin and his crew Krop,Ashley,Heather(mom),Lauren, and I want to say Eric? Sorry man, I told ya I would forget. LOL Fishing really slowed down this afternoon as we were only able to scrounge 1 Speck. We moved on from there and were able to catch a handful of Flounder and some really nice Croaker. Along with those we also caught some big Pigfish, Seabass, and Spot. Had a great time this afternoon and enjoyed having a mom on the boat to take care of us. You guys have a good vacation.

8-11-09

Iheaded out this morning with John Sr., John Jr.,Randy, and Justin. As usual the wind was blowing but that is the usual any more. We headed to our fist stop and and started catching Specks from the first cast on. The bite was come and go as we grinded out fish after fish. Randy was able to catch a nice 23" Speck to go along with the rest of them. When then headed out to catch some of the nice Mullet that had been biting but was unable to locate them as we went on to catch Flounder, Croaker, Spot, and Sea bass. Had a great time on the water this morning and look forward to seeing you next year.

8-10-09

I was out today Dan his gang Trevor,Tom,Jack and Steve. The wind is was blowing this morning as usual but we were able to find some nice Specks that were hungry. We caught a handful at our first stop and it kinda died so we moved to plan B. It was slow as well as we only pulled a few out of there. Trevor decided to start bottom fishing and it paid off for him. He went on to be the man of the day as well. He caught Flounder, Sea Mullet, Speckled Trout, Croaker, Spot and Sea Bass. As the day went on we decided to move and we began to catch a few more Trout to add tot he collection for the day. Had a great time on the water today with you guys and hope you enjoy the rest of your vacation.

8-7-09

Had some of my New York gang out on the boat this morning. We set out for some Specks and we found them. Mike and Joe both have fished with me in the past so they knew what was going on. The bite was a little slow today but the fish were nice sized. The wind was blowing a little harder than the forcast called for so I had to scrap the original game plan and play it be ear. We managed to find a few here and there. I had a great time out there today and it was nice hanging with you guys again.

8-4-09

I fished this afternoon with Mr. Bean and his son Trevor. We headed out with nice weather in the forecast and ended up dodging storms the whole evening. The fishing was a little slow but we managed to get a nice catch of Speckled Trout, a few Drum and some nice sized Croaker. It was good seeing you guys again and Ill see you next year.

8-4-09

I was out on a split party trip this morning, I had Dana and his crew with me. We did a variety of fishing today, catching everything from Sea Mullet to Spanish Mackerel. We had a good catch of Croaker, Sea Mullet,Flounder,Spanish Mackerel,Blues, Sea Bass, and Trout. We were lucky and got a nice keeper flounder and ended the day catching Speckled Trout two at a time. Had a great time fishing with you guys today.

7-29-09

Today was an adventure from the start. The wind has been blowing hard all week and today it blew harder. I had some of my hardcore guys with me today Danny, Tim, Jimmy, Will, and Bill (Ford man) that just didn't care what the weather was going to be. With the wind blowing 20-25 SW we made a good 20 mile run to the Trout grounds and started fishing. Had 1 right off the bat and then searched for a little while til' we found them. The fish were a mixture of nice sized Specks and some small to go along with them. We never counted numbers today but they were pretty good especially with the conditions we were fishing. There was no getting away from the wind today as we were rocked back and forth all day. Overall it was a good day of fishing as we caught Specks, Flounder and Croaker to finish the day out. I hoping next year the guys bring some good weather with them and leave the wind home.

7-20-09

I had the pleasure to fish with Chris from Maryland this morning along with the wind. Even though the conditions were not up to par we stayed hooked up most of the day. We started the morning off with 2 Stripers, 2 Specks, and a Drum. After that we headed way south and were able to find the mother load of Grey Trout, Speckled Trout and nice sized Croakers as well. There were very few cast that we didn't hook up on something, they were chomping for a straight two hours. We never crossed paths with and pigs but the numbers made up for it. I had a great time and look forward to fishing with you next year.

7-16-09

Today I was out with Mike,Julie,Jordan, and Zach on a windy Thursday morning. The water was still really muddy from all of the wind that we have been getting and it was bringing a lot of grass with it. We were able to pick up a few Flounder, Pig fish, Sea Bass, and Trout throughout the morning despite the conditions. Mr. Zach was able to catch some Trout on his own throwing a jig like a pro. I had a great time and look forward to seeing you guys in the future.

7-15-09

Had an afternoon trip with the Musselman's and Pumphrey families. We started with some Flounder fishing for the kids and were able to catch a handful of them until the seaweed took over the hole. We went drifted for a little while after that allowing Libby to get a double up with some Bluefish. Overall the trip had Flounder,Speckled Trout, Sea bass,Bluefish,Pig fish, and seaweed. The trip was for the kids and it turned out great as they both got catch release a wide variety of fish.

7-21-09

I was out with Paul, Linda, John,Evan, and Becka today. The weather was really nice and the fishing was a little slow. We started out fishing for some Flounder and was able to catch a nice keeper along with a handful more throwbacks. The tide was ripping out making it difficult to fish for them. We had few nice Pigfish for Mr. Evan as well. That just wasn't cutting it so we headed out for some Trout fishing. That turned out to be a good idea as we were able to get a nice catch of them end the day. The trout were there catching two at a time, nothing wrong with some double ups. Enjoyed fishing with you guys and look forward to seeing you next year.

7-9-09

Fished this afternoon with Mr. Tim and did we ever get them. The flounder were biting just about every cast. We were throwing jigs with artificial baits and flat just wore them out. We went exploring but all we found was more flounder and more flounder. They are here in a big way this year waiting to be caught.

7-7-09

I went out this afternoon and fished around for a few hours having great success. The fish were hungry this afternoon. I caught a few nice fat keeper Flounder, a nice Puppy Drum, some nice Speckled Trout and a few decent Stripers to end the day. The fishing is really picking up as the days go by down here. Not only is the In-shore fishing hot along with the weather the Amberjack bite has been on fire as well. These are a great fish if you wanting something big to pull on, ranging from 20lbs. on up to 50lbs.. If this is what you are looking for give me a call and we can get you Hooked up.

7-2-09

Fished this afternoon in the good ole 90 degree weather, gotta love it. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be a good afternoon of fishing. We ended up with a nice catch of Speckled Trout, Grey Trout, Flounder, and a few little Croaker. All of the fish today were a nice class of fish, all keepers.

7-1-09

Here it is July, the weather is getting hot and the fishing is getting hotter. The Trout bite is coming and going but the Flounder are on fire. They are chomping at the bit to be caught. They have arrived in groves with catches in the 40s and 50s. Along with them are a few nice Drum being caught here and there. If your lucky enough to be here on vacation or heading this way let's go fishing and enjoy the bite while it is on fire.

6-24-09

Had a morning trip today with Ron and Steven outta of Va. and Texas. The weather was the usual, little windy but not to bad. We made a few stops here and there, the fishing was kinda slow but steady. We had a super high tide which is never good for Backwater fishing. I don't think any of counted but I believe we had 3 or 4 Flounder, 2 Stripers, Bluefish and 15 or so Trout. The Trout were small with only about 8 or so that may have kept, didn't matter as they all went back in. I had great time fishing with you guys.

6-20-09

This morning I a had the chance to fish with Steve and his son Luke. All I can say is that Luke's grandpa has showed him a few tricks or two as he went on to catch everything that got in his way. I guess you could consider it and In-Shore Sound Slam for him today. First thing in the morning he caught a nice Red Drum to start things off and then reeled in a handful off nice Speckled Trout. The fishing was a little slow today but he was persistent and it paid off. He then went on to catch a few Blue fish, Striper, Flounder and a few more Trout. All of the fish he caught today were returned to the shallow waters to fight another day. I had blast with them today and look forward to fishing with you guys again.

6-13-09

Had and A.M. trip today with fellow North Carolinian Keith. The weather was wonderful, almost scary it was so smooth out there. The fish were chomping and the rods were bending. Once again the fish were nice sized, 18" to 21". The bite was off and on but when it was on it was going off. On the way back in to the dock we stopped at spot I haven't fished for awhile and ended up catching 5 or 6 more that were bigger than the first school. All in all it was a great day to be on the water and fishing. Thanks Keith and will see ya next time.
